Kitchen Designer/Interior Designer
Anyone have this experience. My former coworker and friend said he had an interview. The hiring manager saw that he work Wells Fargo Bank for many years. The hiring manager said "I don't think you will be a fit for our culture because you worked at Wells Fargo." My friend said he was at a lost for words. He knew the decision already made without him opening his mouth.
I overheard someone talking loudly about how the American Dream is dead and that the future is bleak. I definitely think there's a lot to change, but it doesn't seem like the American Dream is gone for good. Finding a job has been difficult, and the cost of living is out of control, but I think it's still possible to live a decent life. Thoughts?
Is it true that staying after accepting a counter-offer is career suicide? My current company matched a competitive offer I brought them, and now I’m torn on whether to stay. They suddenly found the budget to give me the exact $25k raise and title promotion I’ve been begging for during the last two performance cycles.
Curious to get some perspectives My unemployment just ran out and I’m actively interviewing for Senior PM roles. My previous employer reached out about a contract, but it’s more of a product/project/BA hybrid rather than a pure PM role. I still have enough runway to cover expenses without taking something immediately. Would you take the contract and keep interviewing, or stay focused on landing the right full-time role?
How long did your actual job search take from the moment you started applying seriously to the moment you received an offer in tech? I am trying to get a realistic idea of timelines because online expectations feel very inconsistent and sometimes discouraging.
I am confused about what you are looking for. If it's a new role, please add more information about your background and the impact you've had, as this helps recruiters in the community.
You have a great background, and I would use that to create a pitch about the impact you've made in another place with your skills. I see recruiters in this community all the time, and they always ask for that.
