Interview
NextDoor is such a disappointment. I went through 5 rounds of interviews which included multiple phone screens, an on-site, and an assignment over 3 months. Everyone that I spoke and met with was extremely nice, but the recruitment team was such a let down. They juggled me back and forth between 2 recruiters, and always took weeks to get back to me for scheduling the next step in the process. Eventually, when I completed all the interview rounds, I was informed that the role is being put in a hold for the holiday season. I was directly told that once the role opens up the following month, they would move forward with me and conclude the process.
A month later, I sent many follow ups regarding the process and the role. They even opened up the job posting back on LinkedIn and Glassdoor, but refuse to respond to me or give me a straightforward answer. Initially I was extremely enthusiastic about NextDoor and position, but they turned my hiring process into a joke. Candidates would much rather prefer to be rejected than strung along over months and have their time and expectations wasted.
