I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Red Hat
Interview
Multiple 1:1 interviews including a tech screen, sales manager, and hiring manager. After that was a presentation with multiple interviewers. Overall everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The tech screen was a bit challenging.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Red Hat in May 2025
Interview
The first interview with HR went very well. It was professional, friendly, and well structured. The second round was technical and required a prepared presentation, which I appreciated as a fair way to assess skills. However, the final behavioral interview with two managers was disappointing. It lasted 45 minutes longer than scheduled, and both interviewers appeared disengaged and dismissive throughout.
I was told to expect feedback within two weeks but received none. After following up a month later, I got an instant rejection through an automated and impersonal email.
I spent over five hours preparing and interviewing, and a simple update or short feedback call would have shown basic respect for candidates. Please treat applicants as people, not numbers. Poor communication and lack of empathy leave a lasting negative impression.
After this experience, I would never apply for Red Hat again and would not recommend it to any of my peers.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Red Hat in Nov 2022
Interview
Applied through the portal. Waited for two weeks and all of a sudden a email discussion with HR with no phone/intro calls. HR scheduled call with the tech team and during the call we discussed few roles & responsibilities related to daily architect schedule. Nothing else. I personally felt its all done in an informal way from Redhat.
