I applied online. I interviewed at World Wide Technology (Edwardsville, IL) in Jun 2026
Interview
First you'll have a ~20 minute phone call interview with a recruiter about the company, job, and your background.
Second is the behavioral interview and knowledge check. This will be onsite with Production Supervisors
Lastly, is the onsite technical interview. This will be with Production Supervisors again. You'll be given instructions to follow for setting up a switch (manual boot, copy boot image from flash drive and change auto boot to that image, setup VLANs and subnet, setup account with secret and SSH). It is a 40 minute test and you can't use the internet to look things up. You'll have to use SecureCRT for connecting to the switch. The switch was a Cisco C1000. While a technician will be in the interview, they can't really help you but will only tell you what you are doing wrong.
What is a BIOS, What is a GUI, What is a CLI, What is a KVM, What does volatile, and nonvolatile mean (in reference to servers and RAM), what is a MAC address, what is an IP address?

Interview
1 Behavior interview with hiring manager, pretty light stuff trying to get to know your and your motivations. 1 Technical interview, basic switch configuration, if you know cisco products this will be a breeze, if not, follow simple instructions and you will be just fine.
