Pros
• "change the world" company mission • challenging and interesting work • IPO potential (the main attraction for some) • base pay is decent • 2021 bonus was excellent • new CEO has improved company focus and is well connected
Cons
• poor work/life balance. it's a grind • no real vacation policy (take what you "need", but many are still tethered) • barely standard benefits for a high tech company • no recurring stock option grants (expected to change later in 2022) • perpetually understaffed • consistently high employee turnover even at upper levels. people aren't even sticking around for what should be a really good bonus in 2022 • opportunity cost - good job opportunities are everywhere
