We held our first ever run/walk event on September 14th - the Summer Hustle. Over 40 employees ran or walked their way through between 3.5 and 7 miles with 1 water stop along the way manned by employee volunteers. It was a beautiful day to see everyone out together on the Baylands trail. Everyone who participated got a Summer Hustle finisher's medal - and a fun happy hour after the event!

A day without our Engineers... Where is our Engineering Team? They are at a Fun off-site today with games, lunch, and fun! Each team was assigned a color and had to build or create some kind of prop that goes along with their team color/name. The "Greyhound" group was crafting their prop in a conference room yesterday - it was fun watching engineers get crafty. One of them joked he was the wrong kind of engineer.
This week, the beloved Snoopy mug of one of our salespeople had an untimely demise. Not 1, but 2 people on the Sales team bought him replacement mugs out of the goodness of their hearts. That's dedication to each other in action right there.
In addition to the Summer Fun festivities, we launched a new t-shirt for everyone. "Make it simple to connect and do business." That's our mission at BDC.
B-Fun! We had our Summer Fun party last week - with video games, giant jenga, a velcro wall, balloon twister, snow cones, popcorn, and caricature artists. BDC employees, families, and friends had a great time!
We thought it was a good idea to celebrate our fiscal new year (started July 1) - so today - Happy (fiscal) New Year! I've already heard people around the office wishing others a "Happy New Year!" We love the sentiment! We are also having our Summer Fun party today. B-Fun!
