In recognition of Veterans Day, Zimmer Biomet was honored to host Army Captain and author, Carolyn Swift Furdek. As written in her book Locked-In: A Soldier and Civilian's Struggle with Invisible Wounds, Capt. Furdek described her journey through combat, her relentless search for answers and an eventual diagnosis and treatment of her "invisible wounds" that continued to follow her for more than a decade. Her hope is to inspire anyone with similar struggles to take control of their healing and medical treatment.
