Bill.com is a unicorn killer

Pros

If you could get your hands on a time machine and go back to pre-bill.com days, Divvy was a special place to be. Bill.com and its leadership (calling out rev execs specifically) are just bad. Like, real bad. Word on the street is, Rene is scared to hire strong leaders around him since he was ousted at his last company. So we're left with a bunch of yes-men sitting in an echo chamber trying to run a company.

Cons

No business is truly a family, but most businesses aren't genuinely heartless. Bill doesn't care about its people at all. High performers are constantly let go with no warning. Leaders that are true culture carriers are fired without warning. And nobody is taken care of in the process of firing them. Teams are almost all underperforming, company direction and strategy are unclear and vague most of the time. No culture left at all. It's a barren wasteland of genuinely talented individuals just waiting to see who will be the last survivor in the bill-zombie apocalypse.

Pros

-You get a free lunch every Thursday. -You get to wonder why only 1 person in the office gets to bring his dog in and nobody else can't. -You're in a Catch 22 where if you work 8 hours, you get to spend time with your friends and family BUT at the cost of work piling up. So if you work to prevent your work from piling up, you can forget about your ideal 8 hour work day dreams -Pay is decent but if you're on salary, expect to work about 60+ hours a week while management enforces "work-life balance"

Cons

-The only way you can move to another department within the company is if you are with your current department for TWO YEARS. That's pretty steep. I spoke with 3 employees who did their 2 years and when they finally got to transfer out their reaction was identical: "I did my time. I'm glad I survived. Now I can move on." -Taking time off or calling in sick is an adventure. It's almost like you have to hire a lawyer to represent you when explaining yourself why you had to take time off -The only positive reviews on here seem to be from upper management. Ask any non-manager employee how stressful it can be here and they'll say otherwise (and it doesn't involve a 5 Star rating)

Pros

Great solution to sell, has tremendous value and is a leader in the space. The company overall has a solid culture. The sales department is growing fast.

Cons

Boys club. All male management team, multiple openings and promotions going to men with far less credentials and far less time on the job. Woman are treated way inferior. Men get paid significantly higher than female counterparts. Fraternity culture. Bullying is tolerated.
