Congratulations to Riverside Research Chief Human Resources Officer, Madelyne D'Angelo, named one of the Top HR Execs to Watch in 2025 by WashingtonExec. “Madelyne is a leader who lifts an entire organization,” said Dr. Steven Omick, President and CEO of Riverside Research. “She is approachable and genuine, and she isn’t afraid to clown around when the moment calls for levity. But she pairs that warmth with a depth of experience and steady judgment. Across the organization, she builds the trust that elevates teams and creates a culture of connection. She is the standard for what a Chief HR Officer should be.” Learn more about Madelyne and her HR work in 2025: https://bit.ly/4959XWZ

As a part of the Riverside Research internship and co-op program, we are proud to offer a variety of hands-on experiences that enable students to build valuable connections and jumpstart their careers in a dynamic, real-world environment. Intern Aidan Essig has been instrumental in advancing Sensors and Systems (SAS) automated intelligence solutions on Independent Research and Development (#IRAD) projects. His work primarily focuses on designing and developing the user interface and look and feel application that invokes AI-based agents to tackle some of the most challenging problems faced by our defense and intelligence communities. Aidan has led the prototype development of the live portion of the interface, which ingests and displays maritime streaming data positions to assist analysts in identifying behaviors of interest. “Aidan has been instrumental in the development of IRAD prototypes that convey the vision of AI-Agent based automated intelligence to the IC community. His work has been an enormous help to achieve our objectives rapidly,” said Principal Investigator Scott Morales. Aidan studies at Northeastern University and is working at Riverside Research as a co-op until late December, at which point he’ll return to full-time student status to complete his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Minor in Mathematics. The functional electromagnetic materials independent research and development (#IRAD) efforts at Riverside Research result in big ideas about small components. The researchers on this team examine the materials at the basis of every hardware component or device in use, reimagining how we can use alternative materials or new materials to help the device function more safely, securely, and cost effectively – all while taking up less physical space.
