Pros
Employees are great! Nice individuals, hard-working, enthusiastic. Flexible, in terms of hours needed at the office, and ability to work from home. Casual dress environment.
Cons
Management, both upper and middle, is horrendous! HR Dept is horrendous! Things are not remedied, that are not part of a professional company. If the things that I saw and heard happened at another company, changes would have happened, immediately. Both HR and upper management let it go. People are yelled at by their managers causing an awkward dynamic. I was never yelled at, but I saw and heard others being yelled at. There are a few select upper management individuals that are treated like kings! They can do whatever they want without repercussion. The very unfortunate part is that HR and Executive level management know about all of this, yet do nothing to change it. There is a sense that if you're not part of a certain ethnic group (which is predominant at APEX), you will not get ahead. Unfortunately, the culture within some departments at APEX are run as if they are in "that" part of the world. As well, if you're a female, you will not have opportunities for advancement, within those departments. It seems that individuals that are hired for these departments are of the same ethnic group. Of course, there are others within these departments that are not of the ethnic group - however, they were hired from within the company, not from outside. By keeping individuals of the specific ethnic group, they are more likely to follow the way of their culture. It's a very odd situation - I've never seen such a predominance of a specific group, as well as their own culture being part of the norm, within a company. I have a rating of 1 star to offset the several 4 or 5 star ratings that will follow. As another reviewer mentioned, HR has individuals entering fake 4 and 5 star ratings/reviews. I know this as a fact, as an HR individual mentioned it to me and another former employee. If you do decide to work here, you'll end leaving. The employees make it bearable. However, the inadequacies and unprofessionalism of management and HR will catch up with you.
